OSU upset WV today 72-69.

The Sooners beat ISU yesterday and will take on KU early evening today. The winner of that will face us after we send Tech back to the Plains tonight.

KSU is 7 down to Baylor with under 2 minutes left in the game.

Woah. KSU down by 4 to Baylor, less than 1 minute.
Down to the wire. KSU has the deficit down to 4 again. 10 seconds left.
Baylor holds them off for the tight win 74-68.

Texas Tech game preview:

After two fluke wins over the Horns, including a bunch of lucky shots by McClung, the Horns show the Red Raiders who's boss on the hardcourt tonight. Tech's fluky luck against us runs out tonight. Horns win, and Shaka gives Beard a coaching clinic. These guys are good, but they're a far cry from Beard's recent teams.

Mac McClung (G) 16.1 ppg
Terrence Shannon Jr. (G) 12.5 ppg
Kyler Edwards (G) 10.2 ppg
Kevin McCullar (G) 10.1 ppg
Marcus Santos-Silva (F) 8.5 ppg 6.4 rpg

As you can see, unlike Shaka's well-balanced team, Beard's failure to develop the offense of his inside big guys has resulted in lopsided scoring stats overwhelmingly in favor of his backcourt. He has partially made up for it by frequently posting up big guards like Terrance Shannon, Jr. and Kevin McCullar (both 6'6"). Our ability to switch off and defend the same guys both outside and inside will be key.

Also--get Santos-Silva in foul trouble and Tech's got problems.

Guess no one's posting about the game right now.

I hear it's bad when you have more turnovers than baskets.

We aren't getting a single call. Phantom foul call on Jones, at least 6 50/50 calls have gone the way of Tech. Shaka should probably make a point and get a T. Down 21-19 with 8:20 in 1st.

And i feel the same way I felt the first 2 games against Tech, someone on the team needs to have a stray elbow meet Mcclung's chin.

OU may get a crummy seed, but they’re not on the bubble. The Big 12 will have 7 teams in the Big Dance.

If we can find a way to beat Kansas tomorrow (I think beating an equally matched team 3 times in a season in almost impossible- just ask Tech) then I think we solidify a 3 seed regardless of what happens in Championship game. NCAA has to give B12 runner up in tourney at least a 3 seed. Tonight's win was big.

Tonight’s win was huge. Beating KU would all but assure us a 3 seed.

A 3 seed wouldn’t face the 1 seed until the Elite Eight round. A 4 seed would face the 1 seed in the Sweet Sixteen.

I can't begin to fathom how good we could be if Greg Brown stopped messing around and Ramey actually made baskets. 20 m-f'ing turnovers. Jesus.

The low ranking team you don’t want to face the first round of the Big Dance is the Ivy League team. Upset city.
