Texas 5-4 right now with 14:27 remaining in the first half.

We need to stop missing the open three point shots they are giving us.

Wow (bad) Felix, back to back terrible passes.

Wow (good) Ibeh, with a great dunk!

Also, Texas 0-4 from three point range right now.

9-9 wit 12:20 left.

Yancy with another three. Texas now up 22-14 with 6:31 in the first half. Better offensive play from everyone in the last 5 minutes.

Halftime: Texas 30 Texas Tech 26

Felix came back and played before the end of the half. He appears to be okay.

We are 3-13 from three point territory at halftime tonight.
Kendal Yancy 2-4
Demarcus Holland 1-2
Myles Turner 0-2
Jevan Felix 0-2
Jonathan Holmes 0-3

Would like to point out that despite 3 point troubles, Holmes is having a good game. Holmes never scored more than 6 points in a game in February. Holmes has 7 points so far and has scored at least 7 points in all three of the games we have played in March. Holmes is also 3-3 from the free throw line tonight.

Three point update (we seem to be practicing those and need the practice!):
Team 4-16
Lammert 1-1
Demarcus Holland 1-2
Kendal Yancy 2-5
Myles Turner 0-2
Jevan Felix 0-2
Jonathan Holmes 0-4

In better news, we are 9-11 from the foul line.

Texas is up 51-37 with 12 minutes left in the game.

Yancy is back in the game and just made a basket. Ridley is having a monster game with 14 points and a lot of monster dunks.

Texas up 61-42 with 7 minutes left.

Texas wins 65-53! Great game in about every aspect other than 3 point shooting. Here was the final rundown:

Team 4-19
Lammert 1-2
Demarcus Holland 1-3
Kendal Yancy 2-6
Myles Turner 0-2
Jevan Felix 0-2
Jonathan Holmes 0-4

Going to need better 3 point shooting against Iowa State tomorrow. Like I said though, otherwise a solid game.

How about late in the first half(3 minutes) when Riddley, Ibeh, and Turner were all on the bench?

^ Coaching mistakes like this by Barnes cost us the Iowa State game in Austin. That being said, in this one game I will give him the benefit of the doubt, assume he knew we would win easily, and was trying to rest players as much as possible. Possibly an okay move against Tech if it really was about rest reasons. Not an acceptable coaching move against Iowa State tomorrow.

Good win but probably doesn't move the Horns out of the play-in game yet. Beat Iowa St. and they get out of the play-in game into the "real" bracket.

Congrats on an impressive win. They had to win and they did what they had to do. Everybody was relentless on the boards, and Ridley and the guards had a great thing going with the dishes and dunks. If this keeps up we will not need a great % of three point shots to drop in. However, it never hurts to make a high % of 3's. :smile1: :hookem:
