First up--TT vs. CU in a game matching the league's two worst defenses and weakest rebounding teams. CU had made a lot of improvement from last year's 1-15 team that tended to make turnovers as fast or faster than it made field goals, finishing 6-10 and earning the 8th seed. 5 of the 6 wins were against NU, ISU, and TT, so maybe they haven't come that far.
Eight and a half minutes into the game, CU was up 18-8. Since then it has commited 16 turnovers while getting only 13 fg, and finds itself trailing by 13 with less than 5 minutes to go, so it has obviously channeled last year's performance. Tech, weak rebounders they are, are killing CU on the glass.
Next up--NU vs. MU. NU lost by 15 and 17 this year.
