man, i also wish Duke/A&M was on TV...two strong defensive squads going at it. should be an interesting match up.

very excited to see the Baylor/Tenn game. first time to see Griner play at the college level.

OU in a close game with UGA, down 42-40 with about 7:00 to play.

A&M leading Duke at the half, 45-37.

and in other non-Big 12 scores, LSU is beating Centenary 54-9 at the start of the 2nd half....ouch!

BU just doesn't look good to start. Griner has not had an impact on the game, other than Tenn starting out in a zone.

Tenn coming out on fire in the 2nd half...zone seems to be pretty effective against Griner so far.

A&M looked very impressive. the headline i read after the game was "Aggies stun Duke"...but honestly i'm not that surprised. i expected them to beat Duke, bet i definitely wasn't expecting them to score 95 points. Duke defense might be hurting without Abby Waner.

okay, tenn looks a lot better than they did last year.

wonder if coach g and the team are watching this?

good thing Griner can hit free throws--9 of her 15 points were from the foul line. she didn't have many open looks at the basket...Tenn had a good defensive game plan for Griner. lots of double/triple teaming and pushing her under the basket.

I'm glad I finally got to see Griner play today. She's a freshman playing like a freshman. Phew! I don't know what I was expecting to see. But TN wasn't haven't it in THEIR HOUSE!

She will only improve. She'll definitely be fun to watch mature over the next 4 years. She will be like Sylvia Fowles but at another dimension. Once she gets past this 1st season and works with a Post coach on post moves and defense she'll be a great asset to Baylor.

Griner looked like a freshman out there, but you can see that she has potential. I think it is very smart for Mulkey to get the team on the road, in a hostile atmosphere, to start the season. Tennessee looked better than I thought they would look. Cain and Strickland are tough. They will definitely be in the mix and the end of the season.

Best of luck against UCONN this Tuesday. Wish I could go to the game.
