I've always found it interesting that conference stats are kept before conference play begins. I understand that pre-season games may be an indicator of what is to come, but there are seldom common opponents so comparing stats seems a bit funny to me.

OU has played UCONN and NC...hard to compare our stats to theirs.

non-conference stats do seem to be meaningless because of the range of non-conf opponents every team plays. but for me personally, i've always been big into stats, so it gives me something to read before conference play starts!

and i've always found the stats to be more telling than rankings and winning percentages.

I agree...they are fun to look at. Let's hope these stats stay consistent when conference play begins...

I think that our 3-point % will increase as Erika continues to regain her comfort level. I haven't gotten to see a game yet but it sounds as if she is really finding her stroke.

Rexy, thanks for making me laugh.

Isn't it funny how we get to know each others personalities by watching the type of posts that we make.

IIRC, Erika misses her first several shots, then hits a jumper, be it a 2 or 3, than she is money for the rest of the game. If we can just count on her to continue, she will hurt a lot of teams b-4 the season is done . . . . . . . . . . .

I have missed only one game and she did as described above against Ole Miss.

I like stats. While it's hard to correlate what pre-conference stats mean due to the varying SOS of teams, it's good to see the Horns doing what they should be--blowing out teams that they should be blowing out. The stats reflect that. The Horns have played several tough teams, maybe not a UConn but ODU, Geo Tech and Ole Miss are not cupcake city either.

I can remember seeng the stats of the Horns after similar preconference slats and they were nowhere near where they are now. It's nice to see them sitting on top of the stats.
