Careful. I know you were talking about Justin Hamilton on ISU, but I had to check the article to be sure.

I hope he doesn't enter - he needs another year.

bierce, do you think Avery staying or going has any bearing on Cory Joseph committing to Texas?

I hope he continues to go to class, doesn't hire an agent, watches what happens as more and more people declare, gets accurate assessment from scouts, then makes an informed decision.

Edit: I honestly have no idea if Bradley staying or going will affect Joseph in any fashion.

When the **** is Kade Davis going to graduate/leave? His 20th year of eligibility has to be up by now.

Right after the loss to Duke, Dunn said he's coming back and not bothering to test the waters.

I'm guessing he'll change his mind, declare, go to the workouts, but not hire an agent.

Not Big 12, but possibly of note in affecting others' decisions--

Calipari is reported to be telling recruits that Bledsoe and Orton are going pro with Wall, Cousins, and Patterson.

Five likely first-round draft picks and a loss in the Elite Eight...not too impressive for Cal, though I think he's a great coach.

Again, not a Big 12 thing, but a follow up on what's going on in Lexington.

Orton is dropping all his classes "in case he needs to come back [to Kentucky]."

Nice academic plan there.

His dad adds this little gem (no doubt he had bumperstickers touting his kid's ability to beat up other kids):

My god, I could watch Orton for less than a minute and know he's not a top 5 draft pick or that "he'd make Demarcus look bad." What an absolute and total freakin' idiot. You, sir, only said that because you are his dad.

I don't foresee AB getting selected in the top 20 picks. To max his paycheck, he should play another year of college ball and look to be a top 10 pick next year. Daniel Gibson would have more coin in his pocket if he'd waited a year. Damion James would have been an early second round pick in 09, now I've seen him projected as high as 13. But if AB decides to go pro, I wish him many years of success. I enjoyed what he brought to the team this season.

I think he'll get taken in the first round, assuming he wants that and doesn't come back once he realizes his draft status.

I think the pros have way more leeway to develop athletes into good basketball players. They're not bound to NCAA rules or anything stupid like that. Plus, he'll be getting paid no matter how bad he is, and that's always comforting.

Even if he's no 6th man the moment he steps into the league, he can bide his time preparing for the moment when he's needed. Everyone blasted CJ Miles for going straight to the NBA, but he seems to be doing pretty well for himself now. That was 5 years ago that everyone was picking on him for making a bad decision, and he wasn't even relevant until his 3rd year after making the jump.

I'd take a draft pick risk on a guy like Avery. He could have a night like Roddy Beaubois did for the Mavs last week, and all would be forgotten about the progress he still needs to make.

Isn't it interesting that as soon as Warren signs an agent.

This OU asst. coach is leaving. At one time Warren favored Arkansas, coincidentally this assistant was an assistant at Arkansas.
