Found this story from yesterday. Four teams from the Big 12 in the Sweet 16; Big 12 needs four teams in the Elite 8!!

Baylor is not doing well. No offensive power at all. Player, Griffin and Morrow need to step up.

Baylor is really hanging in there. I would say that they have faced a good bit of adversity and they are still competing for a spot in the elite eight. They reflected Mulkey's attitude on the court...they are tough and determined. I am not sure if Mulkey does a great job of coaching that or if she is just good at recruiting players who have that mentality.

geez, it hurts to watch Allison limping up and down the court. She can't jump or run but still is getting rebounds and making plays.

Ain't over till it's over....they pulled it out before....
BUT, it is looking grim.....very grim.

Have a hard time rooting for them, team, coach, fans...all of them

I sort of liken Baylor's struggles to ours. Looks like that snake may travel back and forth on I-35.

Wilson - ACL
Griffin - ACL in high school
Player - ACL
Darrett - kicked off team for off court conduct
Medlock - mother murdered
Bradley - transferred after her sophomore year

Watching DeHaan is getting a glimpse of how Griner could make an impact on both ends of the court. Teams are going to have their outside game on in addition to not being afraid to go inside. Should be something to see in person.

DeHaan is much more mobile than I remember, but she is not nearly on the same level as Griner. You are right, it should really be something to see. If Baylor has any kind of outside game next year they are going to be a nightmare to guard. And Griner will be a one woman zone defense, freeing up the rest of the team to hawk the ball.

as long as ISU can continue to hit their 3s, they got a very good chance to win cuz they are not scoring inside much.

It has been fun talking to all of you this season. The Lady Bears ran out of gas at the end of the game and couldn't hit any shots. Mulkey, in my opinion, had one of her best coaching jobs this season (the Bears went 7-2 without their leading scorer and rebounder). Making it to the Sweet 16 was more than expected after Wilson went out.

Best of luck to all of the Big 12 teams the rest of the way (except for OU...not a big fan of Coale).

See you next season. I appreciate this board because you all know your basketball and are generally respectful (unlike texags.com).

I didn't get to see the Baylor game today...I was out trying to support our local economy

Can anyone tell me what happened? I frankly was a little shocked by that score.

Saw the Iowa St. game. Great game for them. However, that game was giving me nightmares of what the next 4 years of Griner is going to be like. I actually think it will be worse w/Baylor because they will have a outside game too.

Baylor just didn't play very well in general - sort of a continuation of their first two games.

The strangest thing to me was Kim's remarks at the after game news conference - she reeled off a list of the "team's" accomplishment over the past ten years, which was really a list of her achievements, since the current team has only been there for the last 4 years. She really didn't look well -- pale and thin. Maybe she should have taken more time to recover.

Baylor hung in there for most of the game but their offense fizzled down the stretch. They looked tired and Louisville had pep in their step. I suspect that the short bench really took its toll on them.

1-2 for the Big 12 in the Sweet 16.OU has a chance to give the conference a 2-2 record and having two Big 12 teams moving on. OU looks like the best shot to make the final four but ISU is still in it.
