Baylor vs UCLA on pac 12 channel PAC 12 LA CALIF, Spectrum 376 in Austin area, at 3 PM.

Good chance to get a look at Baylor, even if they will be missing starter Lauren Cox and Head Coach Mulkey.

Apparently, Baylor's Lauren Cox did not make the trip to Los Angeles for tonight's game at UCLA; flare up with her diabetes or something health-related.

UCLA is a team who I think is a contender for the Final Four. So, the outcome of this game could help one team's seeding come tourney time.

In the 2Q, UCLA leads BU 24-21 (per the live game stats). Brown leads all scorers with 12 pts.

Although BU is without Cox, we were without Holmes in our preseason scrimmage with UCLA. This game is being shown on a PAC 10 channel (which I do not receive).

At halftime, UCLA leads BU 36-29. UCLA's Canada has 12 pts and BU's Brown has 12pts. UCLA is shooting 40% and BU is shooting 38%.

Final UCLA 82 BU 68. Brown lead all scorers with 33 pts. The second leading scorer for BU was Morris with 11pts. Wallace did not score.

UCLA had three players in double figures; Billings 21pts, Canada 20pts and Burke 19pts.

What Cox has given them in the other games I watched was a second defender in the post as well as another scorer. UCLA was able to draw Brown out and just get inside for easy shots. No fear in driving inside. Really surprised though that someone else did not step up to score for Baylor, especially Wallace.

today's games (Sat, Nov. 18) left the Big 12 with a split:

TCU 82 Texas State 58
UCLA 82 Baylor 68

Glad to read on the Baylor forum that Lauren is recovering from a strep throat infection that caused havoc with her diabetes control and led to her hospitalization.

Get better soon, Lauren.

The tougher OOC games are coming up on everyone's schedule.
If Baylor continues to have trouble handling the press, they will face that often from now on.

The UCLA website has a good video/recap of the game.

I know it was only a preseason scrimmage but our double digit victory over UCLA a few weeks ago is even more impressive to me today. That scrimmage would have been a fun game to watch because both Texas and UCLA like to play fast.

UCLA plays UConn on Tuesday. The 2018-19 season is just beginning and we already have top 5 match ups to entertain us.

Nov 19 games:
Kansas 81 Yale 75
Oklahoma State 78 Northwestern State 44
Texas Tech 74 Arkansas-Pine Bluff 47
Kansas State 55 North Texas 54

I may have underestimated Washington, hearing that they hung pretty well with Ohio State. I think we play them next weekend.
