I am going to see the Kansas State game at 6 pm at American Airlines Center. Hope there are some of you that can get off work and make it as well. I have zero expectations about a Saturday win..........i just want to see a good game tonight (win or lose)..............and hope it is not the last game of our year. HOOK EM !

Best of luck Horns! W or L, make Texas proud!

tied at 6. Texas has missed at least three layups. KSU is going to live or die by the 3, looks like.

need to block out better on the boards, KSU has twice as many offensive rebounds as Horns, 4-2.

geez, 17 for the Horns, 27 for KSU. Simply poor shooting around the basket for Texas. Hope they are not overlooking KSU because they are playing like it.

KSU only 20% from BTA but when you take 20 3s in a half, that adds up. The bigger disappointment so far is the fact that KSU is outrebounding the Horns 23-17.

Let's see if the Horns can step it. If they can, they should be able to pull this one out.

alright! Horns come with a lot more energy and urgency. Still missing too many bunnies (three) but making more than before. now 30-27 KSU and Texas is looking much better.

still down three with 12 minutes to go. Missing too many bunnies for Horns the story of the game. KSU has cooled off from BTA or the Horns are playing better D out there.

what a struggle for the Horns but they go up 38-37. KSU has 7 seconds to get off a shot after the timeout.
Let's go, Horns. Lock this one down.

no double digit blowout for the winner this time around. Horns up by one, 45-44 with four minutes to go. Horns with the ball after the timeout.

missed on an offensive rebound inside. Lost the second offensive board out of bounds. KSU ball with about 3 and a half to go. Horns up 45-44.

Horns lose on a last second layup by Chambers. Heartbreaker. This should stick in their minds and fuel them during the offseason.

As fans, that second half and that finish was everything one could hope for. As a Horn fan, that was just deflating. Can't imagine how the team feels.

Definitely a heartbreaker. Pretty defining of the season though.

I know Celina has had a lot thrown at her this year, and a lot of bad comments here (probably from me too), but I honestly think she will be a great PG. She has good vision on the court, experience with getting the ball inside to Imani and Nneka, and plenty of PT. I just hope she spends the summer in the gym finding her shot.

On to next year.

We missed a total of 10 layups.
Why is our Offense so packed in.
We never spread the floor.

Offense is packed in because that's where the defense is (guarding our strength). The young guards need to be in the gym finding their shots this summer. It would open up the middle A LOT, if our guards could make shots.

So close!!! Horns played them close at a neutral court. Don't envy them as Baylor awaits them. These Horns did Texas proud and fought till the very end. Looking forward to next season, can't wait!

I thought this game was indicative of our season for sure. And I am thankful that the season has mercifully come to an end. But I am very hopeful for what lies ahead. 2015 will be a banner year for this program as Imani will be a JR and Neka a Sr. and that Frosh class that will include Foeman and Atkins will really help. I hope for two 20 win seasons and atleast 2nd round NCAA appearences in the meantime.

And don't forget along with the duncanville players, a great point guard, Brooke McCarty is coming in 2014. She should really help the team!

I meant the 2014-2015 season. For what ever reason, I've always referenced the year the season ends, rather than when it begins
