Glad we are out of this hellhole of a conference. Some highlights:
  • They killed Farmaggedon after 110 annual games.
  • UC and WVU don't play each other annually despite being driveable.
  • The Lone Star State teams don't play annually.

Next year's Big XII games are going to have about this level of intensity and physicality.

You add 5 Group of Five school, Colorado and the Arizona schools and you pretty much have the Mountain West Conference. Making no mention of BYU.

I think it'll be a good conference. Arizona is a strong team this year, OSU is often pretty good, Baylor can be good at times.

And for basketball, with AZ, Baylor, Kansas, and UH, it's probably the strongest of all the leagues.

Personally, I don't get the dislike of the B12 by many here, especially as we're fans of a team who hasn't won a B12 title in going on 14 years, while, checks notes, Baylor has won it 3 times I believe. It's hardly as if the B12 has held Texas back from greatness.

Well, there's a good chance the Big 12 champ is left out of the CFP despite having one loss near the end of the game, beating bama on the road, and we might get jumped by them if the win the SEC. If the CFP was staying at 4 teams, I don't think we'd ever see another Big 12 school make it.

We held ourselves back in football via stupid hiring. However, I believe the disdain for the conference leftovers arises from the fact that all of them have a blind hatred for Texas, while being only too happy to fill their athletic coffers with TV money provided by being associated with the Texas (and OU) brand. Let's see how they fare on their own.
