Bevo on a horse jockey?

I just got done watching one of the races of the Belmont Steaks and the second place jocky with the horse named Indian Blessing was sporting a blue jocky's uniform with a huge Longhorn logo on his back just like the UT logo, does anyone have any info on this jocky I don't know his name. Is He a Longhorn fan? Is he from Austin? did he go to UT? and did anybody eles notice this on TV?

Jockey was Garrett Gomez , who doesn't appear to have any connection to UT.

The owners are Patti and Hal Earnhardt, who also don't look like they'd have any reason to pick Longhorn silks.
