Anyone ever stay at this hotel? I have an owner/employee discount available for that hotel (I'll be in L.A. a week from friday for the weekend and the UT bball game).


Any thoughts on that hotel?

You mean The Beverly Hilton? Merv Griffin's place? The new part is nice. The old part is dated. The restaurants are nice, but in Bev Hills there are lots of great places to eat. The People's Choice Awards are held there. I like to stay there when the rates are right.

There's something called the GOLDEN GLOBES that are held there every year.

I've only walked through it once and been to Trader Vic's a couple of times. Good location. Nice hotel. Plenty of parking, though there may be construction on the old department store that they are turning into a condo. (I haven't been in LA for 8 months.)

I stayed there for part of my honeymoon. The room was really nice. 42" plasma tv in the bedroom and a smaller one in the bathroom. Granite, frosted glass, contemporary furniture and design. Really nice room.

i work for Hilton and have stayed there a few times. i think they finished remodeling all the rooms by now. it's nice. they have a couple of 7 series bmw's that will take you within a certain distance of the hotel as well.

I knew they had the Golden Globes there, but didnt know if the renovations are complete. Looks like it is the Bev. Hilton for me.

So I went ahead and decided to save my voucher and booked a room at the hyatt regency plaza in beverly hills.

Any thoughts?
