Better HD content: Uverse or Directv?

I have no idea what Uverse HD looks like, but DirectTV's is terrible.

They recompress the signal to far below the 19.2mb/s signal used in OTA 1080i HD. Comcast and DirectTV have the worst reputations regarding compression.

That's unacceptable and shouldn't even be considered HD.

At anything lower than 18mb/s, fast action scenes begin to artifact. At anything lower than 15mb/s, it shouldn't even be considered HD.

its a question becase I'm staying with family in Austin for afew days and they have uverse. I'm wondering how it compares with directv.
