Best Wedding Band in Austin?

My fiancee and I are looking for a band to play at our wedding next summer. I wanted to see if anyone had any recommendations for a great wedding band that can play it all (80s/90s/rock/some rap/etc.) that will get the guests dancing. A few we have found so far are the Pictures, the Grooves, and Sauce, but we have never heard any of them live. Also, any recs on bands to stay away from?

Very cheap. Hope you don't mind if the lead singer calls your new bride a beetch several times. Probably shouldn't give them alcohol until after the show.

A friend of mine just booked Blind Date. They are a recommended band at the Driskill Hotel, where the reception will be. When she contacted them, they had a wedding that weekend and invited her to hear them perform during the last 1/2 hour or so. She said they were great and the rate was reasonable.

Contact them soon if you're interested. Her wedding is next June; she started researching bands about 6 weeks ago and they already had 4 other inquiries on her date when she called them. Good luck!

We had the Newsboyz (sp?) and The Groove (both cover bands) for our rehearsal dinner and wedding. Both were great with the latter being the better of the two. Of course The Groove was also more expensive. Not sure if they are still together or not (wedding was almost 4 years ago, so not that long ago unless talking about bands staying together).

Dax Robertson at the Talent Connection was the agent we went through to schedule the bands and wedding entertainers. If you cannot find anyone, you might consider giving him a call and tell him your budget and tastes.

BTW, we had No Strings Attached play the strings at our wedding, and they were horrible. Showed up about 2 minutes before the wedding started (supposed to be there 45 minutes early), and had not practiced any of the songs. I hear advertisements for them all the time, so I assume they must be good for things other than weddings where they are not playing their own songs.

Sauce is very good, brass section from the Scabs.
Disfunction Junction very fun
Reunion is supposed to be pretty good too.

Sauce played our wedding last summer and they were great. They used to have a regular show at Momo's if you want to check them out, but I'm not sure if they still do. Also, I think their prices have gone up quite a bit since last year, but I'm not sure.
