Best Tacos al pastor in town

I really like the ones at Curras on Oltorf. They mix a little bit of pineapple in there, plus that cilantro and onion stuff, top it with the avacado sauce (its not guacamole, it a sauce), and it's allsome. Make sure you sub borracho beans. And of course you have to get it on corn tortillas, but that goes without saying.

agree with all above. i'll add Maudie's. It's new to their menu, but really good.

yeah, the white truck in front of the bingo on riverside is hands down the best one in the city. if you want the best authentic al pastor, stay on riverside and gorge yourself. all else are imitations, good ones but not the real thing and not the best.

I really don't like Guero's. I think that it is a semi-hipster sub for real mexican food that out-of-towners fall for.

Yet I am willing to go there when others insist on it, because I can get their tacos al pastor (and that's ALL I get there), which are sublime and wonderful. Their al pastor is good enough to save a whole restaurant that I don't like -- that's pretty good.

Are the ones from the truck on Riverside cut off the spinning hunk of meat on the vertical rotisserie (el lomo)? That's the only way to get good al pastor tacos.

God, I need to trip to mexico city soon.

Love live "la vitamina t" (tacos, tamales, tortas, tecate)

Yes, riverside trailer/truck thing does have the spinning hunk of meat thing and it is very good. I just am not positive if they are still open but I will find out very soon.
