Two separate criteria:
1)Atmosphere
2)Content--They have all the subscriptions and several big dishes to pick up obscure content like college baseball local broadcasts.
I don't know about best. I can tell you that the hardest place to get to is Legends Sports bar @ 183 and Mopac. I live right by the place and have to devise schemes and backways to get there. It's amazing anyone can stay at the Holiday Inn there. Then again how good can it be, if you're drinking in a Holiday Inn Lounge.
I don't know. I like the Tavern but they can only get three satellite feeds at a time which means my friends and I have often had to leave the Tavern during the NFL season and go somewhere that has all the games. Like Hooters.
pimpbot. i live right near there too and for the life of me i can't figure out how to get there. i don't see how the hotel, much less the sportsbar stay in business.
The aforementioned options are solid. I also enjoy BW3 on Sixth Street for Monday Night Football and the like. But they can only give you a couple of options.
I hate to even tread into a chain setup, but Dave & Busters does have enough screens to pick up plenty of games.
And you might try G-Cue Billiards in Round Rock. It's in a stripmall next to Texadelphia & Hastings and doesn't look like much from the outside. But they have a nice little setup in there pushing it pass Damon's in RR for watching most sports events.
