Best Route: Downtown to Lake Travis

On Sunday morning, I need to get from downtown (staying at the SFA Hotel) to Lake Travis (Daybreak Boat Rentals, 5971 Hi-Lane). Its been a few years and yahoo maps is telling me some crazy way. Mapquest has me going down to 290/71 and then up to 620.

Is it better to take Mopac to 2244 to 620?

I don't really know exactly where on Lake Travis you're going but yeah, I would imagine going down 2222 would be quicker or even going out Bee Caves to 620.

I'm going to around the southeast area of the lake.

Mopac ---> 2222 --->620 --- Voila

2222 to 620 is great for the northen part of the lake.

2244 or SW Pkwy to 71 to 620 is probably better if you're headed to the south side. SW Pkwy has fewer lights than Bee Cave (2244) so it might be faster.

Looking at the map, Daybreak is awful close to the dam. Take 2222.

I just looked up that address on a map and yeah, 2222 looks like it's definitely the best route.
