....that I remember in the last 10-15 years. It looks like the committee has finally started to look at RPI a little more lightly.
I love Boyd's World ISR for evaluating teams. He has a pretty good track record identifying really good teams that are overlooked in the RPI and the polls. It highly rated Cal-Irvine, TCU and other "surprise" good teams we've run into in past years. It also highly rated past winners like Oregon St when others weren't seeing it.
Using ISR as an evaluation tool, our regional draw is looking pretty doable this year -- a year where we got a national seed with one of our lower ISR ratings.
#1 Texas (national #7 - ISR 12)
#4 Princeton (ISR 183)
#3 Kent St. (ISR 47)
#2 Texas St. (ISR 33)
ISR would have us a low #1, TxST a high #3, Kent St a low #3, Princeton not even making the NIT.
