Best place to get a domain name?

I have a small business website with a crap url so I wanted to get an actual professional-looking domain name and just have it forward to the actual site.

Godaddy.com was possibly the biggest pain in the *** website I have encountered in my life, so that's out. I didn't even end up signing up with them, it was so obnoxious.

I tested out domain.com for a fun site I have with some friends, just to see if I could register a domain name with them and then have it url forward to my friends' invision free hosted site. Nope, it doesn't work and they aren't very helpful with their support.

Any recommendations for a site that will have domain names for a good price and won't take me an hour to do something that should take about 3 clicks and 1 cut-and-paste to accomplish?

I don’t know if this is the best place but I’ve been using Dreamhost for seven years for registration and hosting of multiple domains. The service and support have always been good and they have a lot of tools for managing domains, easy installs for Wordpress, bulletin board systems, wikis, and other apps, etc. I have a Private Server account and they offer unlimited domains and sub-domains, so I’ve been really pleased with it as an overall service. I think the first domain registration with them is free if you get a hosting plan, or $10 otherwise.
