Best place to eat on Riverwalk???

You gotta give some sort of criteria. Food type, food quality, atmosphere, price, entertainment, ...etc.

sure, thanks for the response. Best mexican food on RW or downtown. Best nice place, continental or seafood.

Best mex is probably Rosarios and El Mirador. South of the river. No walking from river. Best food would be Le Rev and Biga on the Banks. Maybe Boudreaus. I have heard raves about another place that is like an Italian woman's name. Can't remember and can't vouch. They supposedly have a good wine list. Rio Rio has acceptable food on the river. It's not special.

If i were taking my wife to dinner for Valentine's it would be Le Rev. They are VERY small and have a price fixe menu that I appreciate. Might be the best food in town on any given night. I can't remember what it costs, but it's under $200 for a wine indulged couple and definitely over $125. Biga is larger and about the same price.

Boudreau's would probably be best seafood selection. You will find seafood on the menus of Biga and Le Rev. El Mirador usually has a Sea Bass and some shrimp dishes, but it's not heavy on seafood.

There is a Landry's somewhere down there and it's my understanding they are seafood. I've never been.

Last time I was in SA (1998) I had dinner at a place called Little Rhein Steak House... it's on the river walk. I remember it being good, although we'd been drinking on the Guadalupe all day. Steak, lobster, salmon, lamb, etc...

the only time i've been to the rw was on a high school spanish field trip. we ate at dicks and then hooters. a thoroughly enjoyable experience. don't plan on going back anytime soon though

Btw, you won't have a view of the river at either Biga or Le Rev. Maybe at Biga. Paesano's will be down at river level and have decent italian.

If you want a nice quiet place with seafood that is still on the river, you may want to try Pesca.

Not the best, but the oldest Casa Rio--- I eat there every once in a while for the plain simple old style mexican food

You need to go to La Margarita. Just hop in a cab and say La Margarita please, and in about 3 min you'll be there.
