Best Patios for lunch

I'm sure this has been discussed, but a quick search didn't reveal anything directly. We are always trying to think of good places with patios that are close enough to downtown to do lunch. There is, of course, Shady Grove, Hula Hut, and Freddies. But where else is there a large patio (we often have large groups), that is sufficiently shaded/cooled to enjoy lunch in the summer, and decent to good food.

I don't know what you mean by "large", but La Madeleine on Lamar has a nice patio. I think that Italian restaurant near 29th and Lamar does as well. Doesn't Hickory Street Bar & Grill on Congress have a patio, too? How about Doc's Motorworks on South Congress?

I second Green Mesquite...plenty of outdoor space and large shade trees. Just make sure you go when they have the 3-meat plate lunch special. I think it's Tuesday or Wednesday.

Man oh man......

Check back with me in late October.
I prefer eating inside with the A/C.

Opal Divine's north also has a decent patio, even though it overlooks Fry's. I can't think of a better one in north Austin (which is a testament to how much the area sucks). Does anyone have a better suggestion?
