taking the gf to austin this weekend and lo and behold, she loves pancakes. she loves the gingerbread pancakes at magnolia, so it's always a routine stop whenever we come to austin. i'm taking her to kerbey lane also this weekend so that she can compare what most people think are the two best pancakes in austin. i was wondering if there are any other places in town that have awesome pancakes besides magnolia and kerbey. specifically, gingerbread pancakes. thanks

The gingerbread pancakes at Star Seeds are really, really good, and they are as big as a large plate! She can eat those while you have their incredibly huge breakfast tacos!

the pancakes at Kerbey Lane used to be real good, but I know everyone is down on the restaurant now.

do you roll enchilada filling in her flapjacks, smother them with queso, and then tongue wrestle your way through the meatcheesy concoction?

I ate late-night pancakes at Kerbey last night with this chick. Just started laughing at the table, thinking about FBs chick and how much she likes pancakes. My chick didn't get the joke. She ate migas. Good girl.

ok, is star seeds the cafe on the east side of I35, along the frontage road if you go north from dean keeton? Or something else? That yuppie bar on west 6th?
