A little contest. What one expression can you think of how the aggy collective must be feeling considering their arch rival is currently enjoying the following:

1. Football Big XII conference champion
2. Football team played in MNC & ranked #2 at end of season
3. Basketball team ranked #1 & undefeated at start of conference play
4. Baseball team ranked preseason #1
5. Women's Basketball ranked in the top 15
6. Men's swimming & diving team ranked #1
7 Women's swimming & diving team ranked #4
8. Men's tennis ranked in top 10 preseason (#8)
9. Volleyball team ended #2 & made it to the finals

And so much more... No limit to the number of words but it must be an expression. The Link

Special Note: It must be mentioned that they still own scoreboard in Meat Judging.

aggy in my office is jubilant and adamant about the rumor Colt was just avoiding playing so he would be healthy for the NFL Combine. Said it confirmed there opinion he was a p---y.

I went ballistic, the only time I remember openly deriding aggy in the office. Told him what an incredibly ignorant a jealous bunch the collective is, offered to bring my MNC ticket to work so he could see one as it was as close as aggy would ever get.

to be fair their woman's team killed us....but overall we own them in just about every sport.

i havent really thought much about yall's football season since after the championship game was over beyond the discussion boards. i feel bad that colt ended his career that way, but he's got bigger things in front of him.

your basketball team is probably the most talented i've seen and it was only a matter of time before barnes put together a team like this. great team.

i dont know if you noticed, but our women's team destroyed yours the other day. gary blair has put together a pretty good season so far.

really not all that concerned about the horns right now. i'm more concerned about us making a good hire at DC now that kines has retired.

The first three (and really the first two) are all that aggy cares about. And if you really want to get technical, all aggy REALLY gives a rat's *** about is that we lost in the national championship game. I know, there will be some aggy that aren't so stupid (oh those 2-percenters) as to only care about what WE do, but they are already convincing themselves that they will come to Austin next year and defeat team Gilbert.

Prop, there has GOT to be a Longhorn or two in your family woodpile...you are entirely too rational and open-minded to be a legitimate member of the cult. I'll bet your agriculturally-inclined friends and family have a nickname for you...two percenter. You're welcome to post here anytime.

By the way, where's Bundy these days...haven't seen him in this neighborhood in a while.

no clue on bundy. i need to give him a call--i could use some back up on these boards.

my inlaws are all longhorns...so there's a lot of good natured ribbing that goes on back and forth. actually there's just me celebrating the occasional win over texas tech while they're making plans on where to watch the NC game.

dad was an aggie, so i suppose i didnt have much of a choice. turned out ok i think.

constipation actually isnt a bad metaphor.

if we ever do turn it around in football, at least, it will be more of a sense of relief than joy.

No National Championship for Texas = successful year for aggy football. Actually, I'm sure they consider 2005 a successful year for aggy football as well since they single handedly knocked Vince out of the Heisman race.

Mostly I feel sorry for aggy, I have gotten to enjoy watching in person Vince cross the goal line to win a national championship, Maroul make incredible plays in Omaha to lead us to a baseball NC and TJ lead us to a Final Four, all in the last 10 years. Add to that another Rose Bowl, another baseball NC, two more Elite 8's in basketball and it is incredible what Texas fans have experienced in such a short time period in the big three sports. aggy hasnt had anything remotely close in any of the big three and at the pace they are on are unlikely ever to. I feel sorry for them because as a sports fan you live for memories like that, memories we get as Texas fans and they will never experience (unless you count that golf NC last year

This one piece of **** at work said he couldn't be happier that Colt got hurt and that Texas lost.

I told him it's pathetic that he has to root AGAINST a team to be happy and consider that a win.

He said he would root for Satan over the Longhorns.

The Aggies would trade their 2009 season for ours in a heartbeat--mostly because it means a win on Thanksgiving, but the Big 12 Championship, undefeated regular season, and trip to the BCS Championship Game would be nice too.

I'm still trying to think of the proper word to describe how aggy feels.
Maybe "desperate", you know, the same way aggy feels when his sister turns him down.

No offense to Proposition Joe - who seems like a good Aggie - but I think the days of measuring ourself up against aTm are over (at least for the time being). It's just not a fair fight anymore.(*)

Dodds has built the top athletic program in the Country, not just Texas. Our football, basketball & baseball programs stack up against any team in the nation, and the rest of the athletic program (as pointed out by the OP) seems to be in good hands, too. We clearly are "The Joneses".

(*) The LSS trophy is just like the Old Oaken Bucket, Paul Bunyan's Axe, the Little Brown Jug or the Iron Skillet - a rivalry trophy that doesn't mean **** in the grand scheme of things.
