Best 'Learning to Fly' song

So these three songs come across my Pandora rotation periodically. Think they're all great songs but lately the Petty track has been at the top for me. Anyone else?

1) Learning to Fly - Tom Petty


2) Learning to Fly - Pink Floyd


3) Learn to Fly - Foo Fighters

Gotta go with Petty. I'm not the biggest Tom Petty fan, but I love that song, and it always strikes a cord for me because it was popular when I was in high school and my dad was deployed for most of my junior year for the Persian Gulf War.

The other two are very solid.

I was gonna go with Petty, too; that's a great song.

But that video with Dave Grohl put them over the top for me.

All 3 are solid songs.

Funny you posted that. There's a documentary on TP & the Heartbreakers (pretty good, at that) and Dave Grohl appears on screen briefly and they show a clip of the SNL show.

Grohl was great. When Petty asked him to drum for him, Groh says (and I paraphrase) "WTF? Can't you find yourself a real drummer?"
