best late night place to eat

i second that, starseeds is awesome. my fave is the spanish omelette which comes with 2 sides, my picks are the hashed browns and blueberry pancake.
jack in the box is my pick for fast food late
the taco wagon on 6th and red river ain't bad as an alternative to pizza for late night downtown grub.

Starseeds is the best late night eating in town. I recommend the eye opener with a short stack served by a chick with purple hair and a spike through her nose.
 
It is a little hole in the wall. If you are coming from south Austin you take the 38 1/2 exit and it is on the right before the next light on 26th I believe.
It is really small and seating is difficult.
It is a favorite hang out for strippers after they get off of work.

i've heard that they've gone through a change there. pricier and less like the old school star seeds. I havn't been in a while, can someone confirm or deny this viscious rumor?
 
The atmosphere has changed a little (painted the walls, new booths, etc.) but the food is still just as good and the workers are the same.

If you happen to eat on 6th street late-night, the est grub is The Best-Wurst with lots of kraut, onions, and mustard.
 
If you can get in (usually crowded) and if you like New York style food Katz's is not bad.
I like the chicken in a pot, and the roast beef sandwiches are good also.
 
I think they did open a Cafe Brazil, didn't they? Western-most lot on Barton Springs a couple of years ago. The art deco diner place. It went out of business.
 
Cafe Brazil sucks the nut-sweat from a mule. I don't see what the big ******* deal is, other than the fact that at 3:00 a.m, it's a decent place to scope drunk SMU sorority hos (oh wait, I DO see what the big deal is).

But seriously, unless it was guaranteed to be packed with hotties, there is no reason to go there -- mediocre grub at best.

I used to walk down to Taco Cabana and eat till I **** myself. Good times, good times.
 
Kerbey Lane has really good migas and pancakes. I think the breakfast items are their best meals. Will have to try Starseeds since they appear to be well thought of.
 
The breakfast tacos at star seed's have enough filling for about 2 or 3 tacos. Order one or two tacos with a couple extra tortillas and you're good to go.
 
Wan Fu. Not only is is the best Chinese food in Austin but it is open until 2 AM. Chinese food rocks after getting drunk.
 
i have yet to go to star seeds. still not sure why i haven't been there yet... best place after drinking is taco cabana off mlk and guadulupe. the old standby. the TC on burnet and steck is another place we go to.

as for sober... kerbey lane.
