Kind of surprised the 2004 Ok State game didn't make it on that list. Down 35-7, we roared back in the 2nd half for a 56-35 W.I have been fortunate enough to be in the stands for a lot of great games, clear cut number one for me is '06 Rose Bowl/NC game but a few others would make any list of top 5-10 I have seen in person:
2006 Rose Bowl/NC Game v USC
2005 Rose Bowl v Michigan
1998 Ricky's run to record v aggy
2001 Holiday Bowl comback v Washington
1994 Sun Bowl Priest runs over UNC
2016 v Notre Dame two bad teams but helluva game
1994 v OU James Brown starts and Stonie stones OU at goal line
1995 v Virginia Dawson's 50 plus yard prayer into the wind
1999 Cotton Bowl Ricky runs all over Jackie Sherrill's MSU team
2018 v USC
1996 v aggy to win Big XII south and first time I saw Texas beat aggy in person
1990 Gardere to Cash and Lasher misses FG on last play v OU (first time I saw Texas beat OU in person)
Finally, not a win but my first Texas game in person and the game that made me a Longhorn fan for life, 1979 Sun Bowl v Washington, as a little kid I was fascinated by the hook em sign, the eyes of Texas and that iconic helmet, went to game with my dad and even though Texas lost I was hooked.

For those who do not get it, here is why. Yes it does.
4th down and 3 yds. to go with time running out. Street throws long pass to Peschel in double coverage. If it fails, Arkansas has a very short field for the put away score. Peschel told Royal earlier in the game he was never covered on a pass route.
Also, a little earlier the Arkansas receiver is going by Steinmark when Steinmark in desperation interferes with him to draw the penalty but deny the free touchdown. Two weeks or so later Steinmark had his leg amputated due to cancer. It is amazing he could even stand let alone play safety. Talk about leaving it all on the field, Steinmark still reigns supreme.
Interesting. I never heard of him again. UW is a good school so it is difficult to imagine he would be that "homesick" as Seattle was a much better place for a young black athlete then. Amazing or just forgot he attended SWTSU. Glad he did well in college because he sure won that game for UW.Might want to check that out.

Superintendent in Navasota, Port Arthur, Converse, plus Assistant Superintendent at Beaumont between the last two. Not a people person, but certainly not dumb.
Flunk out? How about homesick. With the offers Willis Mackey had, and the fact that we thought it was us over OU, I'll never know why Washington, and I have asked.
Thanks for jogging the old brain cells. I forgot it was a shared SWC title. Where was the Sugar Bowl then? At Tulane? The 1968 team was co-champions with Arkansas, each having a 7-1 record in the league. Texas went to the Cotton Bowl due to the head to head win, 39-29 in Austin. Arkansas went to the Sugar Bowl where they upset an undefeated Georgia team 16-2.

But Mackey killed us on the deciding short drive. Just could not tackle him. UW was a good team with a 9-2 record like Texas, but Texas was favored but could not get the job done. Skansi the UW WR was the MVP.Just googled it and Washington ran the ball 42 times for 98 yards. Yeah, just unstoppable.
He didn't but don't let facts get in your way.Glad he did well in college because he sure won that game for UW.
Would be nice to see reruns of that game on The Longhorn Channel!
