In terms of comedy, I think everyone's dad has a little Clark Griswold in them. Well-meaning but a little nutty at times.

I thought the movie "Dad" was pretty good. It's sort of a tear jerker type movie where Ted Danson plays the son of Jack Lemmon & Olympia Dukakis.

I don't remember the specifics but Lemmon is dying from something, & Danson returns home to help out & they end up recreating a bond they hadn't had in years (maybe ever).

Great underrated movie with added benefit of a smoking hot Sela Ward.
