They get some hate on here, but I have to go with P. Terrys.

Friendly service and inexpensive.

And best of all, FRESH.

whataburger is decent if you want to wait in your car for 30 min for a good burger and some old fries.

sandys is pretty good.

"P-terry's burgers wouldn't fill up a 5 year old."

P-terry's burgers are definately small, but I have found that they will let you order more than one at a time.

No love for Wally's on Mesa? They're just down the street from where I live so I eat there more than others but I really dig their burgers.

You better be hungry if you order a #3 with cheese. None of this thin patty BS there.

I have never been to a Dan's drive thru. I always go in. I'm not even sure if the Dan's at Manchaca and Ben White even has a drive thru.

I didn't like P Terry's. I've only had Hillberts once, and I didn't go through any drive thru.

I guess I have to say Whataburger due to my experiences.

First job EVER was at Top Notch back in the 80's. I worked there for 2 years through high school, had at least one burger there every day during those two years, and STILL like eating there today (albeit not quite as often)!

I used to love Short Stop burgers when I was a kid. I don't want to know what one would taste like now.

Dan's still tastes pretty good though.
