I have seen that clip before but not with that video quality. It's the most awesome catch I, personally, have ever seen...not sure the kid's chiropractor thinks the same thing though
Sweet, amazing catch, but with no defender on him he can't qualify for best ever. I remember a college catch made on the other side of the defenders helmet that was the best I've seen. Alabama player I think. The Jets in the Super Bowl has to qualify.
There was that one a few years back that I think was an Alabama player that caught the ball behind the back of the defender and didn't let go so he was basically hugging the guy with the ball in his hands. They both fell back into the endzone for a TD from what I remember.
Here it is:The Link
After watching it, it was 4th and 12 when they did that.
John Jefferson Arizona State vs. Arizona in the mid 1970's, no question end of disucssion.
10 feet off the ground perpendicular to the ground, DB draped all over him for the game winning touchdown.
"The Catch" the original
Well maybe not 10 feet and in today's football it would have been incomplete but the picture at the link below is pretty incredible. I don't think there is any TV coverage.
