Best Buy prize??

So I get a text that says I won a $1,000 holiday gift card to Best Buy. I am supposed to go to a website and enter a three-digit code. I don't recall that I entered a contest for this gift card, but I don't know that I didn't, either. Have any of you gotten a similar text, and what did you do?? Do you think this is legit?

I got the same text in the middle of the night. I think it's a scam. I never entered any contest and I think it was a Houston number. I already deleted it.

I got the same thing only it was for $1000 gift card to Target. Takes you to a very authentic looking, yet fake, website. Then the terms and conditions want you to play some kind of pyramid crap that involves giving names and contact info for friends or family or other acquaintances in return for your prize.
