Best Big Bend Town - Galleries/Shops?

Which town would be the best for my Mom and wife to hang around for a couple of days while the boys and I are camping?

They like art galleries, antique shops, etc. Terlingua is too far (they'll be flying into Midland and renting a car).

Alpine is pretty artsy.

Just have them explore the Marfa/Alpine/Ft Davis triangle. Should be enough to keep them busy for two days.

Second the Marfa-Ft Davis-Alpine area. The las t ten years have seen an explosion of little shops, galleries, etc in that area.
