Best bar food...

Usually only go to the bars for one reason, but sometimes I'd like to watch sports, hang out AND eat some decent food.

I'd put Shoal Creek Saloon at tops, but its more rest. than bar anyway. Ideas?

Crown is always allsome (and cheap!) and the new menu at Abel's is a lot better than the old one was. I haven't eaten at the Tavern since it reopened, but they used to have some good food, too.

Crown is the greatest. Everytime I make it back to Austin I have to get a Mushroom Swiss Burger and a pitcher of cold beer.

In Dallas, I'm digging Two Rows right now.

you know...I've never been to Crown and Anchor.

Posse East also stops me, before I would get to C&A. I'll guess I'll check it out this week.

What about Fox & Hound. I usually would rather watch sports at a Texadelphia, Woodrows or my house, so I've never been to Fox. Food any good there?

The nachos at both the Crown and The Posse are allsome----great greasy hangover food!

What the attraction to Shoal Creek Saloon? For a supposed Cajun place I think their gumbo's crap. Not Jazz on sixth crap, but pretty unmemorable.

I think Shoal Creek's food is OK, but pretty overpriced for bar food.

I know it's a bowling alley bar, but the enchiladas at Dart Bowl have to get a mention, too! Freaking allsome!!!

Well ****, if you count the Dart Bowl as a bar, then this ******* debate is CLOSED.

Those cheese enchiladas are pure and simple greatness. Can't beat the fresh and buttery toast. The burgers and fries ain't bad either.

Plus, they sell Schlitz in a can.
