Best air freshners?

I tried these glad plug ins with the fan and the $5.00 oil only lasted a week, even on the lowest setting. As much as I like the smell, I can't really see myself spending 2 * $5 * 52 = $520 on air freshners for apartment.

I prefer something that is continuous. Not a huge fan of coming home and lighting candles or something. I want it to smell super fresh when I walk in. Ideas??

Your mancard may not like this but...potpourri? You can make it manly though with essense of wolf and other things.

Seriously, you can make sachets with fragrances you like and choose. Spruce it up with essential oils you can buy at HEB. Put them in areas of air circulation and voila, you are done.

I suggest google it and you will find tons of solutions. The best way is to avoid air contamination by simple things like not letting trash stand more than a day (smaller bags taken out more often), keeping laundry from common areas, etc...

Another thing if you like the smell of Rosemary is to first get a plant. If you keep it inside the whole time it will get a white film or something on it. So it needs to be outside some. But have a couple of pots of it in varying size. Rotate them and keep one or two inside at all times and that wonderful smell will be omnipresent.
