Does anyone know anything about the closing of Bertram Smoke Haus? My Wife and I enjoyed going there, but I cant find anything, other than the website is down, and the phone number no longer works.

When was the last time you went there? Have you been to the new location? Just wondering if they have a different phone number.

The last time I was there was in September I think.

I hunt in Bertram and was a frequent member at the bar at the new location. I would stop by on my way out to the lease and have a couple cold ones. They closed down about a month or so ago. THey just weren't busy enough to make it. Through family I know some of the owners and in my opinion they were cutting the pie in too many pieces. Too many partners. It was a pretty cool place. Sad to see it close down.

Thanks for the response...we hung out at the bar area a lot too, had some nice times. I agree with the cutting the pie in too many pieces. I had made friends with the guy who ran the bar section, he's a nice guy, hooked me up with a free steak once.

I do a little business in Bertram every once in awhile (don't laugh), and the last time I was there we ate at the new location. It was completely empty in the middle of "lunch rush".

I knew that they had changed their hours to Thurs-Sunday only, I hadnt been there for a week day lunch before. I'm just glad I found out before I decided to drive out there. Restraunt business is hit and miss, they gave it their best shot, too bad it didnt work out.

I was there the night before the OU game on my way up to Dallas. Completely empty.

Friendly place, but frankly i thought their food was not that good...
