Benghazi

This could be Obama's final opportunity to high tail it back to Kenya.

However, since Hillary has said the buck stops with her, maybe that should be the angle to getting to the truth. I heard yesterday Bill is not happy with his old pal Barry, as if he ever was. He wants Hillary to tell the truth, but she continues to be a team player and cover Obama's ***.

Bill hasn't like Obama since he called Bill a racist, and Bill won't take much more. Bill still considers himself to be the first black president. Then Obama refused to pay off Hillary's campaign bills, Bill didn't like that either. Now Obama has Hillary taking the blame for all this Benghazi madness. Of course Bill could just be a big *****, and continue being Obama's lap dog.

Heads should roll.

BO didn't have time to worry about this petty stuff - he needed his sleep before heading to Las Vegas. It's all about priorities, and his only one is getting elected.

Laughable. That's your answer? Half the country can't criticize and they other half thinks everything went smoothly huh?

I'll ask you since you voted democrat in 2004 and thus are capable of having a legitimate opinion. Do you think Benghazi was OK? Did Obama handle it correctly? Do you believe that they thought Youtube was the trigger? Do you stand behind not sending help?

If this sad disgraceful inaction does not end the election hopes of the current administration then our county is lost. Brave men holding the fort (Alamo) asking for help against overwhelming odds and being denied. Sad sad day. God bless these brave men and give comfort to their families. They deserve the medal of honor and those who refused them aid be dammed.

Journalism is dead. There is no integrity left ...on either side. Whether you think it's a big deal or not....one thing is for certain...it would have been a huge deal if if happened 4 years ago. Same with fast n furious.

The rumor circulating in the military community is that, on the night of the attack, Gen. Ham (AFRICOM) announced his intention to defy the order to stand down. He was immediately relieved of command.

What is not rumor is that Leon Panetta announced on 18 Oct that Ham was being replaced as head of AFRICOM--only 18 months into his commission--by Gen. David Rodriguez.

I guess the logic would be that Panetta agreed not to court martial Ham in return for Ham playing along with the cover story.

What should have been done, assuming you had no hindsight, and was it done? What was the risk to sending in a rescue mission once it was learned the embassy was under attack?

Are there not scenarios in place in case of an attack? Why not if you are going to leave the places short-staffed with security? Or even if the threat level in any case is deemed enough to warrant help if asked?(much less repeatedly asked)

The point of my post is shouldn't there have been a contingency in place to deal with a similar situation then and is there a different(if we can agree there was across the board failure) plan in place now given the same scenario?

At minimum Romney's camp should be pressing that last part. What would the Obama team do differently if it is the Egyptian or otherwise embassy that is attacked with a similar scale attack tomorrow?

Romey's team can bring it up with out Romney doing so since it really is just letting the public know what actually happened and what would Obama's team do in the future given a similar scenario?

The further points about why ask the military to stand down in the minutes/hours after the attack was started is more information that voters should know. If the ambassador was not enough to send them, what about the two special forces guys doing every thing they could to save the day?

Or were these guys deemed not worth saving?
