staying between santa clara/cupertino.

Ive heard that this area is considered to be the cradle of the craft brew industry. Any suggestions on brewpubs to visit.

Steelhead is up in Burlingame (maybe 10-15 miles away)

Buffalo Bill's is up in Hayward (maybe 25-35 miles away)

There's a Gordon Biersch pubhouse in San Jose. I don't know if they brew on site but they'll have good beer and decent food.

You'll be smack dab in the middle of many small breweries but most of them are 45-60 miles away.

I really like Gordon Biersch. There's one in Palo Alto also.

Someone recommended the Tied House (just off Shoreline in Mountain view) to me, but I haven't been.

Gordon Biersch is excellent. If you're in Austin, go to Spec's and try the Marzen. It's damn good beer.

Trader Joe's Pilsner is ******* awesome, especially at around $5 a sixer.
If they ever come East, they're going to kick Whole Foods right in the nuts.

Tied House is fine, but there isn't much to it. As an after work spot, I would go there but I wouldn't make a long trek. On the other hand, from Cupertino, it is very close.

OK,TEXAS, dammit.
Price wise, Mac. I've been in one in Reno, NV, and Santa Fe. Brought back a bunch of stuff.
