Beating Baylor this weekend

OK, we have stunk up the joint in the second half recently, and lost three games to unranked team. Yes, we all know ksu was ranked before the season. big wup.

All the above aside, i think it is very important for momentum sake for UT to find a way to win Saturday.

I said WIN SATURDAY. If Barnes and the players find a way then I think it can turn the season back to a very positive March Madness scenario.

Not many expect us to win. I don't expect us to win. But if we do, that would be f'g awesome and I think the tide would be seriously turning in the right direction.

Can I hear an amen?!!

When Dunn is off, Baylor goes down. Every opponent has proved that again and again this year.

Unfortunately, our guards are wheels-off as well. Missed shots, defensive lapses, etc. I think this game comes down to "whoever sucks less pulls away at the end," and recent performances don't lean in our favor. Maybe if Brown finds his touch for a game we can keep it steady.

The problem you run into here is BU has nothing to lose and everything to gain. We should be of the same mindset but i have my doubts.

What I'd really like to see is KU slip up at Mizzou. As mentioned on another post the Tigers are 16-0 at home this year, with some quality wins, and all conference wins by 8 or more. So it is possible...maybe 40% or so. But the game is so early today, Texas would walk into the Baylor game knowing a win would tie the conference and we have the tiebreaker. With that opportunity and the much needed extra rest, I'd like to see the effort we bring for the entire game. That would tell us alot about the mindset and what we might expect going forward.

I have a feeling if KU locks up the conference early today, it may just become another game. Sure we want to win and save face and seeding, but losing wouldn't be the end of the world. And you need to have a do-or-die mentality to win this very tough, physical, emotional game in Waco. If our intensity is even a little behind tonight, we will be in trouble.

Bears have been sitting around all day drinking Throttle and reading the bible. They are going to be pumped UP tonight and Ferrell Center is.going.to.be.rockin.

Go Horns!

Man with Kansas sealing the title many on here thought was fore-gone conclusion for the Horns, I'd have to think you could bet every penny on Baylor tonight. It's classic case of who needs it more. I do intent to watch too much.

OK. Just about game time. C'mon Horns!! Dig deep and close this reg. season on a high note. Hook Em'.

Off to a reasonably good start, which has not proven a formula for success recently. Of course, it's hard to hope for a bad start and then be forced to make a comeback.

Huge win for the guys!

Got a little mojo back for the post-season.

What a hard fought, tough win. We lost the first half by 3 and then won the second by 9. Great job, Horns!!! Duke and Purdue go down hard today also. The ship is finding its way again. Let's keep it rolling.

I hope this stings Baylor and their fans quite a bit. They have a cheating coach who is a scumbag and they still are not likely going to the tourney. They don't deserve to. Hopefully they will get what they deserve via a probation or a program killer as their hoops program has been fairly sordid in goings on.

The Big 12 Tournament suddenly has some importance.

A big run would not only solidify a No.2 seed, it would also help restore this team's swagger. Tonight's outcome was a step in that direction but we need to keep that momentum rolling come Thursday.

Sure would be nice to see the Jayhawks on Saturday and beat them again.

Seal Baylor's NIT bid in our first game, slap around the Ags again in the 2nd, and then deny the Jayhwaks again in front of their own fans...would be awesome heading into Madness. We do happen to be 5-0 this year against those teams. Let's do this.
