I'll start "Texas Fight" every time UB shoots a free throw. Please respond if you're on the other side.

I predict a sustained defensive effort that wears them down and produces a decisive victory for us. We're jelling, man.

Then a postgame Orange Out at Dancing Bear.

We haven't had reliable three point shooting in a while now. I halfway expect to go 10 percent from beyond the arc.

Halftimes thoughts: Wangmene deserves very little minutes, and Holmes deserves much more. The pup can run circles around Lexi.

Kabongo is clearly talented, but he is an incredibly dumb player. I hope to see mental progress next year.

Everything Scott Drew does/says seems contrived to me. He just screams fraud.

The entire Baylor fan base is ignorant and gay.

Verne Lundquist made 2 egregious errors by the 19:22 mark of the first half. He needs to hang it up and has for 5 years now.

Clark Kellogg has really come around on me. I like him a lot more. Overall, CBS has lousy announcers and cheap production. Brando, Tillman and Seth Davis are too cocky/nerdy to be on my tv for too long.

I love watching JCB play. And I look forward to CC playing the 2nd half.

Refs won't let'm play...normally don 't complain about the refs, but this is ridiculous. gzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Bear refs for sure.

We have got to make FTs down the stretch. Overall we were 16-26 which is reminiscent of '09-'10. We are a better shooting team than that this year. Kabongo played MUCH better in the 2nd half but missed 4 key FTs down the stretch. Wangmene missed two when down 5 with 44 left. We recovered the board but wasted 14 seconds before chapman could get to line to make 2. We make a few more FTs down the stretch and this is in OT or we win.

I have no idea why JCB took that last shot instead of driving. Aside from that he played a tremendous game.

This team is young and dumb, but has the makings of being good to great going forward.

Kabongo = flashes of brilliance, sloppy turnovers and headscratching decisions. Thy name is freshman with most likey improvement to come. Hopefully that comes at UT not the NBA, after last year can't rule that out.

Thought we should have called timeout and set up the last shot. I think Barnes wanted Brown to drive to the hoop for a two, then foul.

Now to compound things Iowa St. is going to get the big win over Kansas we should have had. Missouri is a must win it appears.

They have a bad habit of forcing the ball inside with risky passes, yet when they penetrate, they often draw a double, or triple team, but refuse to look for the open man. Not having a legitimate inside presence only compounds the problems.

Our horns played a hell of a game today. Three or four of the five were freshman for most of the game. BU is a top 10 team, maybe top five.

Our guys played hard, with heart and very tough. I did not expect a victory. But they damn near pulled one off.

Jones and Acy were too much of an inside presense. We simply could not match up. Thats why we lost.

This team impresses me, and if these guys stick together, they will be super tough next year.

It's frustrating because they really are close to getting it. They just can't finish these tgames off, and I think the reason is that to be a good finisher, you have to be consistent. You can't be a streaky team, or when the time comes where you HAVE to take care of the ball, HAVE to take a good shot, HAVE to run the offense, it's just not going to happen.

Prodigal,

What you describe as problems in your post could be in the dictionary as a definition of "what to expect with freshmen basketball players."

Yes, I know it would be a very unusual dictionary if it had definitions for phrases and sentences. But I think you get my point.

If, and its a huge if, these guys stick around for a year or two, and, with some inside presence coming in next year, this team will be seriously good.
