BCS NC Tickets

I know a lot of folks got the rejection notice. Did anyone get a notice that they are getting tickets or has anyone had their credit card charged yet?

Received this email today.

The University of Texas athletics ticket office would like for you to verify your address for the "POSSIBLE" shipping of bowl game tickets in the event that your ticket order is able to be filled. This is NOT a guarantee that you will be receiving tickets as our demand has greatly exceeded our supply. The tickets will be shipped out on either Wednesday or Thursday, December 16 or 17th. Your shipping address is as follows:

Please take the time to check your shipping address for accuracy. If you need to make any changes/updates, please REPLY to this e-mail message as soon as possible by 5:00 pm Sunday, 12/13/09. If you would prefer that the tickets be held at Will Call and not shipped out (as there is a signature requirement), please reply to this message with that information as soon as possible and before 5:00 pm on Sunday, 12/13/09. You will receive further emails about when and where those will-called tickets will become available.

Also, if you are using a PO Box or Drawer, we would recommend that you provide us with a physical address, so we may use Fedex services to deliver your tickets.

Question:

A fellow employee's son is a senior at UT. The son was trying to get BCS student tickets, which he planned to scalp. Assuming he got them and we can agree on a price, can I buy and use them? My student ID expired in 1975. Any kind of "conversion" to non-student tickets required?

Anybody done this before?

Student tickets are the same as a regular ticket for this game.

The bowls don't care if you are a student or not.
