I hate that he's got about $ 10,000.00 worth of smokers & grills all around him but all he ever does is use that humongous Weber kettle.

He's got my Bandera offset & I'd LOVE to see him actually use that thing once in awhile.

Oh, & he grills a LOT, too. & That is NOT BBQ.

Granted it may not be the most accurate show tiltle....but its still a good show. I made the grilled artichokes recentely and they were fantastic

interesting debate about whether grilling is bbq. i have a propane grill and do not consider anything i have made to be bbq.

i actually think this show lacks something. not sure exactly, his recipes seem ok, but theyre missing a quality thats endearing - could be charm, culture, emotion, spice, elan, something. plus his personality seems a bit dull to me. and nerdy. almost like hes a professor. and bbq doesnt need to be smarted up or fancied.

yeah he is a dud as far as personality goes. he kind of reminds me of that dude with the fro who did the painting show back in the day

but he seems to know what he is doing. i have his cookbook and have tried several of the receipes with success
