Baylor!

I'm very pleased to see Baylor defeat these big name East coast schools of Georgetown and VirginiaTech. Sweet it is that many people on the East coast never heard of the school or know it's location. Who do they get next?

They've done it again

Beat Auburn at Auburn, advance to Finals in NYC !

Opps...Advance to semi finals. Got a little carried away there.

I hope Baylor wins the whole thing. Go Bears!

on a related topic, I still have no idea how Vinnie Johnson, a native of Brooklyn, ended up in Waco for his college ball in the late 70s. Didn't St Johns or BC or some east coast power recruit him? Per wiki, he still holds the BU game record of 50 pts.

is it possible to have BU vs. Notre Dame for the title? Baptists vs. Catholics... will ESPN mention this angle?

it's also possible for BU to meet Kentucky, same as it was for the 1948 title. How many of those players are still alive? Must be 80-83yo.

Each Baylor victory is an indictment of Scott Drew and how he wasted this year's squad's considerable talent. There's just no acceptable excuse for that team to not have earned an invite to the Big Dance.

Drew appears to be recruiting well and has a talented class set to arrive in the fall, but Jerrells, Dugat, Diene and Rogers won't be around to welcome them.

NIT semifinals? Great. Congrats. But an underwhelming waste, if you ask me.

regardless, they're doing great. congrats to the bears and their fans, especially after rebuilding a recently decimated program.

Haven't watched a lot of Baylor until last night, but all the Auburn fans are thinking is, "How was this team not a contender in the Big XII?" I had to watch on TV, but talked to several people at the game and they were saying in person, the size differential was massive (not shocking, since Auburn can't go taller than 6'7", but still), and Baylor could nearly match us in quickness and perimeter game. They ought to win the NIT if they keep playing that way.

Baylor has a great team when they play their game, first of the season they were 15-3, from jan. to march they had a bad spell 2-10 but since then they have started playing their game again and I wouldn't be surprised to see them win the NIT

Scott Drew took a team on the verge of the first basketball death penalty with only 3 or 4 scholarship players and did ok. Since then they have been a solid team but tends to lose too many games they probably shouldn't.

It seems like he is running a clean program so we'll see how it goes with next years season and recruiting. Of course they are still playing so I guess this could be his "break out year".

I don't think Baylor has had two 20 win seasons in school history, and this is the first time in 58 years they have had a post season win.
I think next season they will be playing in the big tournament and competing.
