Baylor vs UConn at Waco

Both teams will have a week to prepare for this game. Should one heck of a game with #1 going against #2. I like BU's chances to win, especially if someone else besides Griner, Pope and Sims steps up offensively. It will be interesting to see how Geno has UConn defend Griner.

I hope it is a competitive game and BU comes out on top. Baylor has to come out strong and maintain it for 40 minutes. UCONN goes full strength for 40 minutes. U can't have a slow start or they will run you out of the gym. I'm probably one of the weird one's but I just don't think Dolson is all that great. I don't know if it's because I really liked Tina Charles and she is not a TC or what. But I just don't get why she can't be shut down!?!?! I guess it's just me. SMH!

Now for KML they need to put Hayden on her and face guard her. Play tough D on Tiff, Hartley and Faris and BU should come out on top. But I'll say it again no slow start and they must play 40 MINUTES OF DEFENSE! If they get down big in first half it is going to be difficult for them to dig themselves out of a hole. But w/that being said - Sims and BG can flat out go off on any given night. So if they get down 10-15 in 1st half they're probably a team that can come back. Pope is playing very well so if she's on she can definitely contribute.

Now my X factor in this game is going to be B. Hartley (UCONN). UCONN goes as Hartley goes. Get in her grill and mess w/ her head. KML is the silent scorer, Hartley is the general. Get the general off her game and they win. Also if you play tough D on Tiff you can throw her off her game as well. I believe BU has the guards and defense to hold their 4 guards in check. But 40 minutes of defense.

I just got around to watching my recording of this game which was a very good one. I despise UCONN and Geno so I was glad to see them lose. I got amused at the announcers...UCONN homies all the way.

I usually have to mute the announcers but I listened to Jeff Van Gundy for awhile, he was pretty good.
