well, i got to see something i've never seen before. a batter getting hit in the helmet but the umpire ruled he didn't try to get out of the way. In the helmet!

Did you see the guy for Houston try to score from 2nd on a suicide sqeeze, was thrown out by a mile. I guess he thought that the third baseman was going to throw to first to get the batter, but he didn't when he sees a runner going to the plate. Imagine that.

There was a man on third at the time that scored. Both runners take off and the idiot just keeps going from second toward home plate.

Aggy wins 7-2 and Baylor pounds Houston 14-5.

Cal leads Fresno State 6-2 in the 8th.

Fresno State rallies for 4 runs in the ninth, but leaves the tying and winning runs on base and Cal wins 7-6.

Went to game and came away impressed with Baptists for first time since they rolled us in '05 reg season. Less so at CWS later on. Still, our upcoming series should be fun and a bit chippy like old times. Hoping we continue our steady ascent.
