Baylor very quiet, why?

It is interesting that Ken Starr has been very quite since the A&M to SEC confirmation announcement. I wonder why? Could it be that he is just waiting to spring something? Like maybe after BU v aggy?

Baylor's agenda wasn't about preventing A&M leaving, but about trying to survive realignment staying in a major conference (preferably the Big 12). Since the Pac12 announced no further expansion, and everyone's efforts have shifted to patching up the Big 12, things are basically going their way - hence the quiet.

May be involved in seeing that a meaningful buyout $amount goes into the exit fee. I understand that is still being worked out.

Baylor is waiting to see if their TV income is diminished by aggy's departure and whoever takes their place (if any). Any negative change in the TV pay-out will set the bottom for Baylor's lawsuit.

Also, any further Baylor action will be against the SEC based on aggy's announcement to the world that they had been in negations with the SEC for 15 months.

Either aggy lawyers have made mistake after mistake in this whole deal or aggy leaders have ignored legal advise. Either way it is clear that aggy doesn't understand contractual law.

I think they've been told to shut up by Big 12, namely Boren. Boren and Loftin held discussions about the intentions of Wallflower moving to SEC. It was shortly thereafter that Boren made an outright slam at Starr's position.

Like someone said above in this thread, as long as they can get relatively close to the funds from the "new" Big12 they will probably be satisfied.

I'm more curious as to why the SEC dropped the waiver requirement. Their lawyers must not feel there is any action that could harm the SEC.

BTW, just heard an interview with Les Miles on Rivals and he flatly stated that "the SEC will become the home conference of the State of Texas".
