Baylor's measure of what amounts to a 'scandal' is a little stricter than some schools.

Is the FBI involved?

How many people got iced?

Who's going to the federal pen?

Are there tapes of the coach telling kids to lie under oath?

If the number was something like 100 or 150 impermissible phone calls and texts, they should just get a small slap on the wrist. But 1200? That definitely sounds like failure to monitor.

They should count up the calls and texts to players who are already playing at other Div. I institutions.

Something tells me this is only the tip of the iceberg of what has become a very nasty, cheat to get ahead habit for baylor basketball (men's and women's). History repeats itself and baylor will not learn their lesson until a death penalty or something severe.

Baylor has always been dirty. Too much smoke here in Waco for there not to be any fire. Was this way when grunt tuff was here. They just were'nt worth a crap so nobody cared. I predict within 2-3 years they will be back in the cellar where they belong. Football and Basketball.

What I have wondered about was that it is Waco and Baylor here.

That it took such severe transgressions the first time to make the NCAA take notice and get involved.

They had to after criminal happenings went on and gave out some pretty strict sanctions and rightly so.

So after they did I think the NCAA went back to ignoring Waco again after they felt they had done their job. Then Baylor starts over with Drew and once again they start bringing in players and become good again.

The question of course is how? It seemed only a matter of time before something surfaced. I am in the opinion as other have stated that there is more to come.

What I found particularly interesting is that Baylor committed violations in its recruitment of Griner. Seems to me that if her excessive recruitment was a violation, BU should give up the championship they just won, and vacate a bunch of wins.

I know it's not like they were/are paying her, but if their unfair recruiting tactics are what made her choose Baylor over some other school, they would not have won the NC.

Ask Kelvin Sampson what the penalty should be. Hundreds of impermissible contacts is like a nudge nudge "we're just going to pretend that part of the NCAA rulebook doesn't exist" attitude and demostrates willful violation.

Baylor has a decent campus, but Waco is a veritable wasteland. Maybe they are blindfolding the recruits to and from the airport during their visits.

Baylor believes in the separation of Church and Athletics...

First of all they have zero ethics. None whatsover. Second, they cheated. They got caught. But they get to keep the fruits from the vine so to them this is a victory. Third, I don't want to ever hear anyone from Waco speak the name Jesus, in my presence again. Fourth, reread the first three...
