Baylor is more fun to watch than us

This years has been hard to watch the games from start to finish. I catch myself flipping to other channels and in the past I was never doing that but our offense is so boring. Under Barnes we have never shot the three well and wish we recruited better offensive players. Baylor probably won't make the tournament but they are a fun team to watch. If they had Damion James and Dexter Pittman on their team they would be tough to beat. Every other team we play against has multiple shooters, we just have one. Every offensive possession is a struggle to score.

Wish we recruited Better Offensive Players, wow, I almost forgot about TJ Ford, Kevin Durant, DJ Augistin, wow I wish we recruited better.

You would have loved Penders then.

To each their own, but I've found Baylor unwatchable this year.

For Baylor, it's not a matter of talent, or missing pieces. They're just an incredibly selfish crew with no discipline, and poor defensive coaching. Maybe they finally beat Texas today, but if there's one team I DON'T want to watch --- other than in a train wreck sort of way --- it's Baylor.

SL Express, I hear you. I am not sure what happened to Scott Drew on the plane ride from Valporaiso Indiana to Waco. But something sure did. Homer Drew is like dried paint. His teams play like a metronome. And the guy is as true blue as one could find. The only questionable element to his teams was their consistently digging up good big men from Serbia/Croatia. Yet his progeny is now a seemingly somewhat shady recruiter (my personal opinion only) whose teams play as if all Drew does in practice is roll the balls off the rack. It is just odd on how that acorn has fallen and rolled away from the oak. I will say Bryce Drew's shot to beat Ole Miss in the 1998 NCAA tournament is one of my very favorite tournament moments. The old hook-and-ladder paid off on that one!

This is one of the most over-reactionary "attempted" threads EVER. Texas has not lived up to expectations this year, no doubt, but let's not throw Barnes under the bus just yet--especially r.e. recruiting!

Sorry, I forgot those guys, I almost always forget about LA. I loved Daniel Gibson. Was Ivey a Barnes Recruit, he was a high profle recruit wasn't he?

While this team frustrates me, the one thing they do is bust their ***, hustle and effort is not something they lack!!!!

Ivey was definitely NOT a high profile recruit, just ask his dad

The story goes that Ivey was so far off the radar that his dad couldn't believe that Barnes was offering him a scholarship.

Can someone explain to me how its even possible that Baylor beat KU...? The Baylor team we ran out of the FEC a week or so ago was pathetic.

Kansas got worked by Tech just a couple of weeks ago. They are good but they're certainly not a typical Kansas team. Also bear in mind that Baylor was ranked in the top 25 early in the season, so they were expected to be pretty good. They certainly have talented players.

Mihm? Did he play for Texas?

I just thought for sure that Barnes had recruited some Mickey D All-Americans since he's been here but I may be thinking of the coaches that preceeded him here at Texas. How many did we have in the roughly 90 years before Coach B showed up here?

Anybody in the future classes going to be any good?

There I was happy that we had made it through to the semis and then I find that high-flyin' BU, who has dominated Barnes in his tenure here, is our next opponent and we have no hope.

four players is all you can name in his 11 seasons he has been here? That isn't that many and none that you named could shoot the 3 that is the teams biggest problem.

I call BS as well, name these teams, what five players could all do this? Any body could potentially hit a 3 even I could. I am talking about real shooters like AJ Abrams. We never had a team where we could even field 3 of him at one time. I stand by my claim we have never had good shooting teams.

Daniel Gibson was very inconsistent when he was here, had concussions all the time ,played very average, look up his stats. he has been a better pro than college player.
