Baseball game vs. Baylor postponed

Wednesday's contest against the Bears has been postponed due to inclement weather. Future dates are being considered for rescheduling.

AUSTIN, Texas -- The Texas Longhorns baseball game against Baylor on Wednesday has been postponed due to inclement weather. Future dates are being considered for rescheduling.

Texas returns to action on Friday with a 6 p.m. contest against the Missouri Tigers at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.

Sorry if this has been asked before. Anyone have any idea why we have a mid week game with Baylor and then a 3 game series later in the year? Would this have been considered a conference game?

What a joke. I thought this is why we got that stupid turf field. There isn't even any dirt to get wet. Even the City of Austin softball games aren't rained out.

No, this was not going to count as a conference game. Just a mutual agreeement to play a game midweek. I believe it may have happened last year as well, but not sure.
