You are Welcomed. Tuesday a pretty good Dallas Baptist team at 21 - 11 comes to town, next weekend Red Raiders 20 - 13, 5 - 7 in Big 12. Tech is batting .301 but their era is over 5. Need a Sweep at home Horns.
The Horns have been fortunate to start with the likely bottom finishers of the Big XII. Mizzou, Baylor and K-State wrapped around a middle of the pack okie state. Those three dreg teams are not likely to win many series and going 8-1 against them was critical though 9-0 would have been better.
Yesterday was a real downer and coming back to win the series today takes a little of the sting out but means a first place tie with aggy who have already played OU and thus have an advantage in terms of schedule. Fortunately aggy picked up their own ugly loss to tech this weekend.
At 24-8 the Horns certainly have a record that suggests the possibility of a national seed but that record is hiding a ton of faults. Still almost two months to play but Augie continues to have his work set out for him with this team.
This is a four team race. We have okie state out of the way and play at home for 5 out of 6 with aggy and the goobers. With our pitching you gotta like our chances. True, we shouldn't have dropped one to the cat-killers but we're sitting pretty good for all the hand wringing going on about the hitting.
