Horns get to hits and a walk to score 1, and then load them up with 2 outs. Passed ball scored the second. 2-0 !!

Once again, a baserunning mistake with two hors being hung up. How many times do we make baserunning screwups to end potential rallies?? Such a momentum killer to give up outs due to baserunning errors. It bugs the hell out of me.

Anyway, 2-0 we are up!!

Top 2nd. 3 pitch K. Then two singles, the second one a slow grounder that barely made it as a single, as Loy couldn't get the throw in on time. Not called an error. 2 on, 1 out.

Now another 3 pitch K. 2 outs.

1-2 pitch, strike called... no, the ump flinched but changed his mind. Next ball HBP ... Baes loaded yikes. Ooh, a dagerous bunt goes up in the air and is snagged nicely at 2nd. Inning over. 2-0 to bot 2nd.

Ruffin gives up a 2 out solo homer ... 4-1 ...
Now a 2 out double that would have been a center field flyball that could have been caught, but for a wrong starting step.
Hard liner to second but snagged at second. nice play. 4-1 to bot third.

Ruffin not at his best today, but staying out of any big trouble. 5 hits, no walks, an HBP and 2 Ks in three innings

Kevin Lusson walks. Keyes drops in a perfect bunt and moves the runners.
Loy swings and strokes out swinging at a bad pitch.
Rupp grounds out; inning over ... Not yet! .. bad throw .. Run scores!!!

5-0 !! .. and Shepherd strikes out. 5 runs on 4 hits, 3 walks and 2 errors.

My God, why are we so bad in making opportunities given to us into big innings?

Two men on, after an error and a single. We ground out to keep them in the corners, strike out, and a steal puts 2 runners in scoring positions.. And we strike out LOOKING again. Come on, swing dude, swing. What do you have to lose when you are 2 down and have a 5-1 lead? Why stand there and look for a walk?
