Batman v. Superman

I'm perplexed by the entire concept.
Aren't Batman and Superman on the side of all that is good?
Why are they fighting against each other? It just doesn't make any sense to me.

What I'm purplexed about is couldn't Superman squash Batman like a grape, with one hand? Pick him up and throw him to the moon, so he would burn up in in the stratosphere, or suffocate in space. Burn him alive with his heat vision or create many other horrible deaths for him.

Batman is human and unless he is carrying kryptonite around all day, he wouldn't have a chance against Superman.

It would probably do better if nearly everybody died and became zombies. That seems to be a pretty good theme these days.

Batzombie vs. Superzombie, walking and flying dead duke it out, till some little woman named Carol, kills them both, after hyperventalating.

Then she becomes a DC or Marvel super hero, whichever pays the most.:smile1:

I'd pay to see that move. As it is, I saw 10 Cloverfield Lane. It was a good movie. It was the movie M Night Shamylan wanted to make when he crafted that horrible movie Signs.

I saw it and thought it was pretty good, although very heavy-handed and darker than it probably needed to be. At some point, not EVERY shot has to be a slow-motion dramatic reveal or an over-stylized dream sequence.

Anyway, they do a decent job of setting up why the fight takes place. It's based loosely on the Dark Knight graphic novel concept. Long and short, Superman thinks Batman's a loose cannon enacting vigilante justice, Batman thinks Superman's a risk to destroy the planet because he's way too powerful. Hijinx ensue.

Just go with the understanding that shortly after the concept for the movie came together, the Avengers blew up, and DC decided it needed to fast-track the Justice League storyline. So what could have been one movie ended up being about three movies all crammed into one. Watching the movie, that becomes pretty evident.
